Important information: Alignment of Peppol IDs in envelope and payload
Please ensure that the Sender and Receiver IDs in the Peppol envelope (SBDH) are identical to the electronic addresses of the Seller (BT-34) and Buyer (BT-49) specified in the payload.
Background
- ⦁ The electronic address indicates from and to which address electronic messages are communicated.
- ⦁ In the case of transmission via the Peppol network, this corresponds to the respective Peppol ID.
- ⦁ The information in the envelope (SBDH) and in the actual document must match.
- ⦁ An increasing number of service providers are checking at the inbound side whether these details are correct and identical.
Impacts
- ⦁ A mismatch between the Sender/Receiver ID in the envelope and the electronic addresses in the payload may result in the complete rejection of documents (e.g., eInvoices).
- ⦁ Currently, this mainly affects B2G invoices to Luxembourg. However, other recipients cannot be excluded.
- ⦁ SEEBURGER has not yet implemented such a check in the outbound direction. At present, mismatches therefore do not lead to either a rejection or a warning as part of outbound validation.
- ⦁ However, the introduction of further checks is planned in order to improve quality.
Recommendations
- ⦁ Review and update your routines and implementations to prevent mismatches.
- ⦁ Ensure that SBDH IDs and payload addresses are identical.
- ⦁ Adjust your processes at an early stage to avoid rejections by receiving service providers.
Example of a mismatch
- ⦁ SBDH Sender ID = <Identifier Authority=”iso6523-actorid-upis”>9930:seetest</Identifier>
- ⦁ Payload / Invoice Seller electronic address = <cbc:EndpointID schemeID=”0088″>9482348239847239874</cbc:EndpointID>
