Integrator Workspace News (12/2025)

December 2025December 2025 | December | December 2025 | Integrator Workspace

New asset type available: “Templates”

The new “Templates” asset type is now available for you in the “Assets” menu item within the Integrator Workspace (IWS). A template in IWS is a reusable blueprint of a flow or subflow that has been saved to the “Assets” menu item. Templates are especially useful for recurring integration scenarios, offering a consistent and adaptable foundation that can be tailored to specific project needs.

Key features:

  • ⦁ Browse and view templates: Access a comprehensive list of all available templates in your organization, including both your own and SEEBURGER shared templates.
  • ⦁ Create new templates: Save a flow or subflow as a template directly from the respective editor into the “Assets” menu item for reuse.
  • ⦁ Use templates: Copy a template from the “Assets” menu item to a project.
  • ⦁ Edit template details: Modify metadata such as name, short description, and detailed description directly from the “Assets” screen. This does not affect the underlying flow or subflow.
  • ⦁ Update templates: From within the flow or subflow editor, use the “Update template” function to replace the payload (meaning the flow or subflow logic). Optionally, you can also update the metadata during this process.
  • ⦁ Filter by owner: View only templates you have created or explore SEEBURGER-shared templates.
  • ⦁ Filter by connectors used: Filter templates based on the connectors used in the flow or subflow, helping you quickly find relevant integration patterns.
  • ⦁ Search by name: Quickly locate specific templates using keyword search.
  • ⦁ Sort options: Organize the template list by name or last updated date for easier access.

Benefits:

Templates standardize integration patterns across projects, help ensure consistency and reduce effort when creating new flows. By reusing proven designs, teams can accelerate development, maintain quality standards, and share integration logic across projects and environments.

Improved sorting by “Last updated” date

To enhance usability in the “Assets” menu item, the overview screen for connectors now sorts by last updated date instead of creation date. This means you will always see the most recently modified assets at the top, so you can quickly access the latest versions without extra searching.

This improvement saves time and reduces confusion by highlighting the most relevant and up-to-date assets.

Display “Last updated” date in details screen

The details screens for connectors and templates in the “Assets” menu item now show the last updated date, so you can instantly check when an asset was last modified – without going back to the overview list.

This enhancement gives you clarity when managing assets, helping you keep your projects up-to-date.

Unique names for connectors and templates

To help you keep your assets organized and avoid confusion, we have introduced a validation rule in IWS: connector and template names must now be unique within their type (connectors or templates) and within your organization. This means you can no longer create two connectors or templates with the same name, ensuring clarity and consistency across your projects.

This improvement helps you avoid duplicate names, making it easier to identify and manage your assets. Your workspace stays clean, and your team can work with confidence knowing each connector and template has a distinct identity.

Simplified connector upload: auto-generated connector ID

Uploading connectors in the “Assets” menu item is now easier. The former requirement to enter a name and connector ID added an extra step and sometimes also created confusion.

The connector ID is now automatically generated in the backend and removed from the UI. This means:

  • ⦁ Less manual input during upload
  • ⦁ No more ambiguity around connector ID usage
  • ⦁ A cleaner, streamlined upload process

This improvement makes managing your assets more efficient.

Hash functions in “Execute JavaScript”

Calculating hash values is now possible in the “Execute JavaScript” step using the built-in functions $fn.hash.md5, $fn.hash.sha1 and $fn.hash.sha256.

Benefits:

  • ⦁ Time-saving: Possibility to calculate hashes from responses and for requests directly in the “Execute JavaScript” step.

  • ⦁ Simplicity: No need for additional steps to perform hash calculations.
